🚗 1. OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)
This grant supports businesses, charities, and public sector organisations looking to install EV chargepoints at their sites.
✅ Covers up to 75% of the cost per socket
✅ £350 per socket, up to 40 sockets per applicant across all sites
✅ Applies to hardware + installation costs
✅ Available to most workplaces with dedicated off-street parking
Perfect for offices, warehouses, depots, shops, and shared-use commercial buildings.
⚡ 2. EV Infrastructure Grant for Staff & Fleets
This is an additional grant available when you install 5 or more charging bays for use by staff or fleet vehicles. It goes beyond just the chargers — it covers infrastructure too.
✅ £500 extra per socket, on top of the WCS grant
✅ Also covers wiring, containment, and power supply upgrades
✅ Again, up to 75% of the total cost
✅ Maximum claim = £15,000 (or £850 per charging bay)
Many businesses can combine both grants, unlocking up to £850 per socket for eligible installs.
🏢 Who’s Eligible?
To keep it simple, you likely qualify if:
You’re a UK-registered business, charity, or public body
You have designated off-street parking
You’re installing approved smart chargers
You haven’t already maxed out your grant allocation
You don’t need to have EVs in your fleet yet — just a future intent to support EV use for staff, fleet or visitors.
💡 Real Example?
We recently helped a manufacturer in South Yorkshire install multiple chargers across their site and secure £4,250 in grant funding, reducing their costs by 75%.
