Cooper & Turner — Expanding EV Infrastructure Across Multiple UK Sites
Cooper & Turner

Challenge
Following the successful installation at Cooper & Turner’s Rotherham facility, the company identified the need to expand its EV charging infrastructure to its Sheffield site.
As more staff transitioned from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric, and with an increasing number of clients visiting in EVs, Cooper & Turner recognised the importance of providing reliable on-site charging.
They required a solution that could cater to both employee and visitor charging, support fleet operations, and integrate seamlessly with their existing infrastructure. The system also needed to provide centralised management and reporting for both sites to give the facilities team complete visibility and control.
Solution
Swift Charging delivered a tailored end-to-end EV charging solution, supplying and installing five Project EV APEX 22kW AC chargers mounted on durable post installations to provide maximum accessibility for all vehicle types.
The system was integrated into Swift’s smart back-office platform, allowing:
Custom tariffs for visitors and staff charging.
RFID access cards for company vehicles to charge free of cost on demand.
Full visibility of energy usage, charging sessions, and revenue reports across both sites.
In addition to the installation, Swift Charging supported Cooper & Turner through the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme (Staff & Fleet Infrastructure Grant) process, securing £4,250 in government funding to reduce overall project costs.
From planning and design to installation and commissioning, Swift handled every stage of the project, ensuring a seamless and compliant setup that aligned with Cooper & Turner’s growing sustainability goals.
Results
With this new installation, Cooper & Turner now has a smart, scalable charging network spanning multiple UK sites, providing a consistent and reliable experience for both employees and visitors.
Key benefits include:
10 additional charging sockets (5x dual-socket 22kW units)
Unified management system across Rotherham and Sheffield sites
Custom user access via RFID and tariff controls
Monthly energy and performance reporting
£4,250 grant funding secured through Swift Charging’s support
The new setup not only future-proofs Cooper & Turner’s facilities but also reinforces their commitment to sustainability and innovation within their industry.
